Silent Tears

Another story of yet another parent taking the lives of their children before killing themselves today. What has the world come too that people feel the need to take horrific measures? Is hope really that far gone that death is the only solution left?

A part of me is scarred and hurt by this endless despair growing inside growing numbers of people. And what makes it worst is when I see my daughter shed tears for the children she never knew and ask "How can parents be so cruel to their children mom? They need to love and take care of them."  What a beautiful and caring heart she has.

We have to make changes starting with reprogramming our way of thinking. Remember,  as bad is it may be for you, there is always someone in a worse situation.  And there are other ways to get from where you are to where you want or need to be.

Total Frustration

We live in a time when everything is wanted and expected immediately,  but we're left disappointed for about a minute before we rush on to the next best thing or person to come along. Gone are the time, energy, and patience needed to truly develop those lasting relationships we long for, thrown out the window with the evolving messengers and dating websites available.

I thought men were the worst at this "Fast and Furious" way of life but women have added to this growing problem through learned behavior. Know the old saying What's good for the goose is good for the gander?"  We're living it, magnified to astronomical proportions in the worst ways.

I haven't read a million books on relationships. I don't have a psychology degree to know why your mind works the way it does. I don't and won't spout off statistics from dozens of articles of how many of you are doing what to whom.  I've experienced it and seen it through friends and acquaintances from school age to middle age such as myself.  The "single" life is, at the very best, excruciatingly painful when you realize what you have to go through in hopes of one day changing that dusty "single" status to "in a relationship" or "married".

We're all fed up with disaster after disaster,  but we lack the courage and strength to tell ourselves this is not what we want or even need. We give in to social norms, setting aside all moral values and religious teachings in the pursuit of what we think will bring us happiness, no matter the cost to our minds, bodies, and souls.

We need to get back to something better before we fell deeper into this pit of madness.
